Metro Mockup: Bhopal and Indore a step towards metro cities

 

Bhopal and Indore into vibrant and modern metro cities, which is rapidly moving towards reality in the year 2023. Moving ahead in this sequence, Metro Model coach knocked in Bhopal city. After which, on 26th August 2023, at Smart City Park, Bhopal, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan connected Madhya Pradesh and Metro with the future by unveiling the Metro Model Coach, which promises not only efficient public transport but also development and progress. It is also a symbol of the state's continuous dedication towards it.

 

A greener tomorrow:

The day began with a strong message of tree plantation, which the Chief Minister planted with his own hands. This step not only reflects their commitment towards a green future, but also shows the importance of keeping our environment safe for future generations. After this, he also inspired the people present to plant saplings by explaining the importance of trees.

 

Metro coach unveiled:

The biggest and most expected moment of the day came when the Chief Minister unveiled the metro coach by pressing the button. This coach is approximately 22 meters in length and 2.9 meters in width. Featuring train operator and passenger seats, four functional electric doors, glass windows, beautiful interior and exterior color scheme, grab handles for support, LED panels displaying digital route maps and signage, and standard air conditioning. This is a testament to the state's commitment to provide an attractive and classy metro experience.

 

A milestone in public transport:

Addressing the media during this program, Honorable Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, 'Today our resolve has been fulfilled, our dream has been fulfilled. I want to congratulate the people of Madhya Pradesh that Madhya Pradesh is number one in smart city. I want to heartily congratulate all the city residents that Madhya Pradesh is progressing rapidly. The dream we had in 2016 of making Bhopal and Indore metro cities is now being fulfilled. Even in the difficult circumstances of Covid, we have worked rapidly for Bhopal and Indore Metro Rail. I am happy to say that the trial run will start in the month of September and the metro will start running formally in the month of April, May. Not only this, he also expressed pride in the progress of Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited and appreciated the dedication of the Metro engineers and employees who worked to maintain the project even in challenging circumstances.

 

Smart City Park: Hub of Knowledge and Entertainment:

After this unveiling program, the Hon’ble Chief Minister inspected the metro model coach and learned about the features of the metro in detail. The metro model coach was then thrown open to the general public, serving as a tool for education, entertainment, and knowledge development, especially for children. This initiative prioritizes the public welfare and development of residents of smart cities in the state.

The journey of transforming Bhopal and Indore into smart metro cities is in progress, thanks to the dedication and vision of the Madhya Pradesh government. The inauguration of the metro model coach symbolizes the impeccable commitment towards good governance, environment, replicating the state's dedication to provide a world-class public transport experience towards personal, environmental, and development of a smart city.
