In Bhopal, a transformative project spanning 30.95 KM, and in Indore, a circular corridor stretching over 31.32 KM, promise to redefine connectivity and convenience for millions.

From navigating intricate land acquisitions and resettlement issues to coordinating with various stakeholders, including city administrations, utility agencies, and Indian Railways, MPMRCL stands steadfast in overcoming hurdles to deliver excellence.

Project Implementation:

· As is customary with metro rail projects, the Bhopal and Indore Metro Rail Projects will also be commissioned/operationalized in three distinct stages: the Priority Corridors, Balance Corridor-1, and Balance Corridor-2, as per revised construction timelines. The progress so far in Bhopal and Indore includes:

· Awarding of civil packages for elevated viaducts and stations in the Priority Corridors, with substantial progress underway.

· Advancement in the awarding of remaining  system packages, including Automatic Fare Control (AFC), Platform Screen Doors (PSD), and Independent Safety Assessor (ISA), & the same  nearing procurement.

· Completion of essential infrastructure for train trials in viaducts and Depots, with initial trials already commenced.

· Ongoing processes for awarding remaining elevated and underground civil packages for the balance corridors, to be concluded.

Future activities for commissioning commercial operations will include:

· Completion of various civil and systems works and required standalone tests of components.

· Mandatory trials of the prototype train set and speed certification by the Research Design and Standardization Organization (RDSO) of Indian Railways.

· Integration of various systems, integrated testing, and commissioning.

· Safety certification by ISA and the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS).
